Christina Hamre arbejder både med tegning, maleri, grafik og skulptur. Hun har ofte en utraditionel tilgang til værkerne. Det kan være tegninger, hvor hun syr stykker af ruskind på. Det kan også være skulpturer af skind, reb, filt eller noget helt andet. Det groteske og det uhyggelige kan ind imellem ses i Christina Hamres værker. Men de rummer også poesi, længsel, kærlighed og humor. Uddannet på Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi, 2004. Bor og arbejder i København.

Christina Hamre works with both drawing, painting, graphics and sculpture. She often has an unconventional approach to the works. Maybe she sews pieces of suede on drawings. Or she creates sculptures made of skin, rope, felt or something else entirely. The grotesque and the uncanny can sometimes be seen in Christina Hamre’s works. But they also contain poetry, longing, love and humour. Educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, 2004. Lives and works in Copenhagen.
